Orders : state publication, 1946-1967.

This series consists of the general order which prescribes rules and regulations governing the conservation of oil and gas in the state. The rules were formulated to protect against waste and to compel ratable production. Order Number 1, published in 1967, is a reprint of the 1946 Order, with a preface, table of contents, and amendments added to the original text. The preface contains a brief history of the search for oil and gas. The text includes rules for general application and for drilling, production, transportation, processing, and supervisor and agent. The amendments consist of numbered orders which were promulgated following meetings of the Board. The Orders document the Board's function of promoting rational use of oil and gas in the petroleum industry. Orders may also be found in Oil and Gas Reports 1 (OGR 1) and Information Series 49 of the Geological Survey.
